A Russian missile strike on an apartment block in Kharkiv left at least one dead and several dozen injured, as reported by CNN. It’s reported that 14 people were hospitalized following the attack.

According to Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Kharkiv city military administration, children were among those injured by the aerial bombs.

The missile struck the residential building during the early morning hours, causing substantial destruction. The blast severely damaged several floors of the apartment block, leading to the collapse of parts of the structure. Emergency services are currently engaged in search and rescue operations, working to assist survivors and locate those who may still be trapped under the rubble.

The strike is part of a broader pattern of increased aggression in the region. The damage to the apartment block reflects the heightened risks faced by civilians in conflict zones, with significant concerns about the humanitarian impact of such attacks.

Local authorities have condemned the strike, and international calls for aid and support are intensifying in response to the escalating crisis, despite Russia’s ongoing threats of escalating the conflict.
